• Tonnara: Next, make your way to Tonnara di Vendicari, an old tuna fishery that is now a historic site. Explore the ruins and learn about the traditional tuna fishing methods used in the past.
• Salt Pans: Continue your journey to the salt pans within the reserve. These salt marshes are home to a variety of bird species, including flamingos, herons, and egrets. Observe the birds in their natural habitat and learn about the salt production process.
• Birdwatching: Vendicari is renowned for its rich birdlife. Spend some time in the various birdwatching areas within the reserve, such as the Vendicari Marsh and Vendicari Tower. Keep an eye out for migratory birds and local species, including waders, raptors, and songbirds.
