De bouw van het Tina Di Lorenzo Theater begon in 1864 en werd voltooid in 1872. Het theater werd ontworpen door de Siciliaanse architect Francesco Sortino, die zich liet inspireren door de Theater van San Carlo<\/a> in Napels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Het theater heette oorspronkelijk Teatro Comunale di Noto. In 1972 werd het omgedoopt tot Teatro Tina Di Lorenzo ter ere van de Siciliaanse actrice en zangeres Tina Di Lorenzo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
